- The MIBM program, taught in tow major European capitals, not only offers high quality education, but also a truly international exposure providing students with a solid background to produce creative and rigorous solutions to contemporary business problems. Specialized in international business and management, this program will be advantageous to students wishing to work in multinational organizations. This program provides students the opportunity to attend a one-year master program taught exclusively in English, while successively experiencing both the Spanish and the French cultures. The option to take languages classes as well will definitely provide participants an attractive profile which can set them apart in the job market.
- Pré-requis :
- • An undergraduate degree (2:2 honours or international equivalent). • A good command of the English language since the programme is fully taught in English. For non-native English speakers, a proof of proficiency in the language is necessary. • A TOEFL score of 100 (internet based test) OR 230 (computer-based test) OR 600 (paper score) • An IELTS score of 6.5 OR • Proof that the applicant has completed their first degree in English Exceptional circumstances: students who fall short of these academic requirements but with extensive relevant work experience may be accepted into the programme
- Semester I – Paris (September – December) International Economy Aspects of Marketing Management Managerial Accounting International Project Management Entrepreneurship Language course French (*Optional) Semester II – London (January – August) Information Management International Business Policy Human Resources Strategies for the International Manager Elective subject (a selection from a list of courses) Research Methods Project * Semester I – CIECE (Groupe ESCE), Paris International Economy • provides methods of analysis of the diplomatic, economic and strategic relationships between economies of the world • develops the ability of course members to analyse and evaluate the key current economic problems • masters a conceptual framework for the analysis of international economy Managerial Acounting • explores comprehensively managerial accounting at the graduate level • focuses on understanding how information is developed, analyzed and used in real life business decision-makings • teaches the use of accounting data in the management of an organization • includes standard cost systems, budgeting, break-even analysis Entrepreneurship • provides a global introduction to the process of turning an idea into a successful start-up company • identifies the costs and benefits of choosing to become an entrepreneur • places a unique and special emphasis on developing a successful business idea early in the process • asks course participants to step into the shoes of venture capitalists highlighting both successful and failed ventures Aspects of Marketing Management • assists students in identifying the main contribution of marketing to meet the organisational objectives • develops students' abilities to apply marketing knowledge and skills in a management capacity within an international context • evaluates the impact of changing market environment on marketing strategies International Project Management • teaches how to apply basic management ideas, principles and skills to manage the construction of a project • shows the organizational structure of the project by using an organizational chart • makes the students understand the role of planning and scheduling in the pre-construction phase of a project • uses test models and pilot studies for planning field work French language course (Optional) The main objective of this course is to provide the students with sufficient level of French which will act as a solid basis from which future learning of the language can be expanded. The students will be given a placement test upon arrival in Paris and will be placed in the appropriate levels. Semester II - University of Westminster, London Information Management • assists students in understanding information systems • assesses the different information needs of organisations • evaluates the increasing importance of e-business in the commercial world Human Resources Strategies for the International Manager • develops the managerial insights and skills of course members appropriate to the environments in which they are likely to work • emphasises on developing the ability of course members to analyse and evaluate key managerial concepts • provides a conceptual framework for the analysis of managerial practice • develops course members' presentation and group working skills via the residential and practised in the weekly class sessions International Busines Policy • offers a critical, theoretically-informed review of the practices of international business management • examines the underpinning principles and concepts with particular emphasis upon their practical application in different national and organizational cultures Research Method In preparation for the final project, participants are expected to attend a series of Research Methods lectures. The project is undertaken over a long period, starting towards the middle of the first semester of study and is finalized during the summer. Students will be briefed about the requirements of the project by the project Module Leader.
